WordPress Real Estate Themes

Atahuahalpa Theme from Bytes for All

After trying and testing over 20 other WordPress themes, this is now our standard WordPress theme. We love this theme because it is so flexible and easy to configure and customize, plus it has proved to be compatible with virtually every WordPress plugin we have tried. You can choose from many page layout options, and its many customization options are done in a very user friendly user interface from within WordPress once you have installed the theme. You can change theme colors and layout details without “hacking” the theme’s core html code or css.

We have had to customize this theme to fully support the UIDX Menu Maker utility and a top navigation drop down menu structure, including significant css changes to allow this WordPress theme to be used in conjunction with the RT/Affinity template in a combination Joomla / WordPress website, where the WordPress blog site’s appearance and colors pretty closely match those of the Joomla main website. Joomla Real Estate Templates

UJ_RealEstate Template

This is one of the first and simplest, Joomla templates we have used. It is free, clean, fast, extremely SEO friendly (after our customizations), and easy to install and customize, although you still need to really be familiar with css coding and html to do so. With an easily customizable heading area, a dedicated top navigation bar, a left side navigation and module content area, and a large main column content area, this theme compares very well with any of the standard Real Estate Webmasters templates, as far as appearance and functionality.

The UJ_RealEstate template has become very popular, and can be downloaded from many websites. But if you want to get the latest and cleanest version directly from the developer, use the link in the heading above. In addition to our SEO improvements, we have also significantly enhanced this template’s css styles library, so don’t be surprised that our version of this template looks and performs even better than the original!

Rocket Themes Affinity Template

This theme is available with a $50./90 day membership from the Rocket Themes Joomla Template Club. It is well worth the nominal cost! It comes with several advanced Joomla modules and plugins that it uses for advanced content management and presentation. It has many more possible module positions than the UJ_RealEstate template, more than any actual real estate website could possibly need or use!

We tested 12 other templates from several Joomla template vendors and template club websites, including several others from Rocket Themes. In the end, the RT/Affinity template was the only one that was fully compatible with all of the additional Joomla plugins we tried, and that we install on all of our websites, including our own Denver real estate website. Even most of the other Rocket Theme templates had various compatibility and/or functionality issues, some of them fatal.

Our customizations to this template include major css enhancements for compatibility with the SuperFish drop down / slide-out menus we install on our Joomla websites. Other than that, we have done minimal modifications to this template’s core html code.

Rocket Themes Nexus Template

This website was built on a newer Rocket Themes Nexus template. While we are still testing it for compatibility with the UIDX integrated IDX and SuperFish menus, initial results look very promising, and it may soon be the next Joomla template in our pre-certified library.
